Jeni Bern steps in to sing Fiordiligi at English National Opera
Jeni Bern stepped in at short notice last night to sing Fiordiligi, her role debut in Phelim McDermott's acclaimed production of Così fan tutte for English National Opera.
A performer of extreme versatility, recent and acclaimed appearances include Woglinde Das Rheingold, Tytania A Midsummer Night's Dream & From Paris with Love (singing Massenet, Puccini, Offenbach and Piaf) all for Opera North.
“Jeni Bern's opening arioso shows what a terrific Manon she would make, if she had chance to sing the rest of it.”

“Tytania - a sexy and provocative performance by Jeni Bern”

Further engagements include role and house debuts in Lady, Be Good at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, directed by Emilio Sagi and Elvira in L'italiana in Algeri for Garsington Opera.
