New Artist - Alison Kettlewell
We are delighted to announce that mezzo-soprano Alison Kettlewell has joined our roster.
Alison was born in Taunton, Somerset and graduated in drama before studying singing at the Royal Northern and Royal College of Music (Opera Course). She was a winner of the AsLiCo Young European Opera Singers’ Competition and a finalist in the Kathleen Ferrier Awards.
Engagements in recent seasons include Fricka and Waltraute in Der Ring des Nibelungen (Longborough Festival Opera) where her performances were reviewed as “magnificent” and “outstanding”; Siegrune Die Walküre in concert with the Hallé Orchestra under Sir Mark Elder (BBC Radio 3 broadcast and CD release) and Matilda and George Cautionary Tales (Opera North).
Future engagements include Azucena (cover) Il trovatore for Scottish Opera; The Magic of Mozart for Devon Opera; Brangäne in Tristan und Isolde with The Mastersingers at the Sir Henry Wood Hall conducted by David Syrus and Elgar Sea Pictures with The Ten Tors Orchestra conducted by Simon Ible.
