Catrine Kirkman SOPRANO Catrine Kirkman was born in Wales, she graduated from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a Masters in music and continues to study with Jessica Cash. She was the 2002 winner of the Russell-Davies Prize and the KPMG Music in The Community award. Most recent operatic roles include Miss Hedgehog Fantastic Mr Fox; Barbarina Figaro, Moth, Tytania (cover) and First Lady Magic Flute all for English Touring Opera; Valencienne Merry Widow for Lakeland Opera; Suor Genovieffa Suor Angelica and Tebaldo Don Carlo for Midsummer Opera; Susanna Figaro and Zerlina Don Giovanni for Focus Opera, Diana and Cupid (cover) Orpheus in the Underworld for Opera Holland Park; Gretel for Opera Minima; Asteria Il Medo and Laodice in Hasse's Siroe for Ensemble Serse; First Lady & Papagena Magic Flute, Susanna & Barbarina The Marriage of Figaro and Miss Silverpeal The Impresario for Opera Brava, Sally in the acclaimed new work Postcards from Dumbworld by Brian Irvine and John McIlduff in Belfast and Dublin; French Girl and Hotel Guest Death in Venice at the 2007 Aldeburgh and Bregenz Festivals. |
