Kristin Finnigan CONTRALTO

Kristin Finnigan graduated with honours from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2004, having studied with Margaret Izatt and has recently she has completed the advanced postgraduate course at Trinity College of Music, supported by the Henry Rennoldson-Crawford Scholarship. She continues her vocal studies with Gavin Carr.

Operatic roles include Amastre in Xerxes for Iford Arts, Widow Browe Peter the Great for Opera South, Bacchis in Troy Boy for Merry Opera, Fairy Queen Iolanthe for Charles Court Opera, Marcellina Le nozze di Figaro for Musique Cordiale Opera in London & France, Messaggiera in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo, Symbolic Mother in the world première of Tunde Jegede's A Cry of Innocence, Mrs Peacham in Gaye's The Beggar's Opera, Cornelia in Handel's Giulio Cesare, Mme de Croissy in Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites and the title role in Carmen for Meantime Opera at the Greenwich Theatre. She was also the alto soloist in Trinity's performance of Tippett's A Child of our Time.
