Olivia Ray MEZZO SOPRANO

Olivia Ray studied at the Royal Northern College of Music; English National Opera programme for young opera singers, The Knack; and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. She then received a fellowship to Aspen, Colorado to study with Susanne Mentzer and currently studies with Robert Dean.

Olivia's recent operatic engagements include Suzy / Lolette La rondine, Curra La forza del destino and Mrs Fox Fantastic Mr Fox for Opera Holland Park, the title role in La Périchole for Opera South, Angelina La Cenerentola  for English Pocket Opera, Minotaur Productions and London Opera Productions, Olga Eugene Onegin with Scottish Opera On Tour, Maddelena Rigoletto with Live Action Opera, Irene Theodora and Pulcheria in Riccardo Primo for Opéra de Baugé, the Mother in The Tales of Hoffmann and Esmeralda The Bartered Bride for Mid Wales Opera, the title role in Carmen for Pavilion Opera, Opera Brava, and Mananan Arts Festival (Isle of Man), Annina La traviata for Pavilion Opera, Smeraldina in The Love for Three Oranges for English Pocket Opera, Tisbe in La Cenerentola with OperaFour, Dido in Dido and Aeneas with Minotaur Productions and Cannon Scholars.
