Alan Woodrow TENOR

Alan Woodrow studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and at the London Opera Centre. On completing his studies he joined English National Opera.

Recent engagements include Fatty Aufstieg und Fall der Stadt Mahagonny Israeli Opera and Mao Tse-Tung Nixon in China Lyric Opera of Kansas City and Vancouver Opera, Bacchas Ariadne auf Naxos Opera Ireland, Aegisth Elektra Washington National Opera and Canadian Opera Company, Tristan Tristan und Isolde Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse, West Australian Opera and Tiroler Festspiele Erl, and in Peter Sellars' production with the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra.

Amongst his signature roles performed worldwide are Siegfried Der Ring des Nibelungen, Siegmund Die Walküre, Tannhäuser, Herodes Salome, Kaiser Die Frau ohne Schatten, Guntrum, Rienzi, Tambourmajor Wozzeck, Sergei Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, Guido Bardi Eine Florentinische Tragödie and Prince The Love for Three Oranges.
