Welsh baritone Wyn Pencarreg studied at the Royal Northern College of Music gaining many prizes and scholarships including awards from the Countess of Munster Trust, the Peter Moores Foundation and the Wolfson Foundation. He was also a winner of the Erich Vietheer Memorial Award from Glyndebourne Festival Opera. He continues his studies with David Pollard.
In the current season Wyn returns to Welsh National Opera as Le Sire de Béthune Les vêpres siciliennes and revives the role of Alcindoro in Richard Jones’ production of La bohéme for The Royal Opera.

Concerts appearances include Messiah (Ulster Orchestra and Glyndebourne); Voice of Neptune Idomeneo (Hallé Orchestra); Hermann Ortel Meistersinger (BBC Philharmonic Orchestra); and Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem and Walton Belshazzar’s Feast at the St Albans Festival.
