Anthony Flaum performs Gonzalve in L'heure espagnole

Anthony Flaum performs Gonzalve in a new production of Ravel's L'heure espagnole for Mid Wales Opera, directed by Richard Studer and conducted by Jonathan Lyness.

There are 16 performances on tour, between 9 November and 7 December, opening at the Theare Llwyn, Llanfyllin.

Anthony Flaum and Philip Smith perform in Madame Butterfly

Anthony Flaum and Philip Smith perform Pinkerton and Sharpless in Madame Butterfly for Iford Arts, the final opera production to be performed in their current home at Iford Manor. The new production is directed by Bruno Ravella and conducted by Thomas Blunt.

Anthony last performed at Iford as Rodolfo in La bohème and Philip as Figaro in The Barber of Seville, both in the 2017 season.

Performances of Madam Butterfly take place on 21, 24, 26, 28, 31 July, 2, 4, August.

Anthony Flaum and Olivia Ray perform in Roméo et Juliette

Anthony Flaum and Olivia Ray perform Tybalt and Gertrude in Roméo et Juliette for Grange Park Opera at the Theatre in the Woods. The new production is directed by Patrick Mason and conducted by Stephen Barlow.

Anthony last performed for Grange Park Opera as Motel in their 2015 production of Fiddler on the Roof, and Olivia in 2014, as Flora in La traviata.

Performances of Roméo et Juliette take place on 23, 26 June, 1, 4, 6 July.

Anthony Flaum performs in new commision at Clapham Omnibus

Anthony Flaum performs Theseus in Edward Nesbit's new commison The Grief of Antigone, based on Sophocles’ Oedipus at Colonus. The production, directed by Jack Furness, is part of a double bill with Janaček’s The Diary of One Who Disappeared.

Performances take place at Clapham Omnibus on 26 and 27 April.

Anthony Flaum performs Lensky for OperaUpClose

Anthony Flaum performs Lensky in a new production of Eugene Onegin for OperaUpClose at the Arcola Theatre. This new chamber version, performed in a new English translation by Robin Norton-Hale, is directed by Lucy Bradley and conducted by Sonia Ben Santamaria. 

Performances take place from 22 November to 23 December.

New Artist - Anthony Flaum

We are delighted to announce that tenor Anthony Flaum has joined our roster for general management. Anthony is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and the National Opera Studio, in London. His studies were generously supported by English National Opera and the John Wates Foundation.

Highlights in recent seasons include his main stage debut at English National Opera as Borsa in Jonathan Miller's production of Rigoletto, Rodolfo La bohème for Iford Arts Festival, Turiddù Cavelleria Rusticana for Portsmouth Choral Society, Don José Carmen for Tonbridge Philharmonic Society and the title role in UC Opera's production of Verdi's Aroldo at the Theatre Royal Stratford East. 

In the current season Anthony will perform Lensky Eugene Onegin for OperaUpClose at the Arcola Theatre, Headstrong/Hermosa Tales of Offenbach for Opera Della Luna on tour and Tybalt Roméo et Juliette for Grange Park Opera. He will also understudy Bill in Jonathan Dove’s Flight for Scottish Opera.
