Jeni Bern makes her debut at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo as Greta Fiorentino in Kurt Weill's Street Scene

The production, directed by John Fulljames and conducted by Lee Reynolds, premieres on 21 February for a limited run of three performances.

Jeni Bern performs in the world premiere of Anthropecene

Jeni Bern makes a long awaited return to Scottish Opera, as Professor Prentice in the world premiere of Anthropecene by Stuart MacRae. The production is directed by Matthew Richardson and conducted by Stuart Stratford. 

Performances take place from 24 January in Glasgow, with further performances in Edinburgh and London, at the Hackney Empire.

Jeni returns to Scottish Opera later this season as First Lady in Sir Thomas Allen's production of The Magic Flute.

Jeni Bern makes her debut at the Teatro Real

Jeni Bern makes her debut at the Teatro Real as Greta Fiorentino in Kurt Weill's Street Scene

The new production, directed by John Fulljames and conducted by Timothy Murray, premieres on 13 February, with performances through the season until 1 June.

The performance on 16 February, will be broadcast live on Mezzo Live HD.

Jeni Bern performs Viennese Whirl with Opera North

Jeni Bern performs in a series of Viennese Whirl concerts with the Orchestra of Opera North, conducted by Justin Brown. She will perform arias from Die Fledermaus, Wiener Blut and Der Vogelhändler.

The concerts take place from 29-31 December, in Hull, Huddersfield and Leeds.

Jeni Bern performs Aunt Norris in Mansfield Park at The Grange Festival. The production, newly orchestrated by Jonathan Dove, is conducted by David Parry and directed by Martin Lloyd-Evans. 

Performances take place on 16 and 17 September.

Jeni Bern performs with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Jeni Bern performs in A Night at the Opera with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft. She is joined by tenor Alexander James Edwards and the orchestra is conducted by John Rigby.

Jeni will perform excerpts from La bohème, La traviata, Il barbiere di Siviglia, The Merry Widow and Gounod's Faust. 

The concert takes place of Friday 1 September.

Jeni Bern performs with the Orchestra of Opera North

Jeni Bern performs with the Orchestra of Opera North and baritone Quirijn de Lang in Millennium Square, Leeds, in a dazzling progrrame of music from opera and musicals. The concert is conducted by James Holmes and Jessica Cottis. 

Jeni will perform favourites including Un bel di and Song to the Moon, alongside senational numbers like I Can Cook Too from On the Town and Blitzstein's I Wish It So

The concert takes place in Millennium Square on 29 July 2017.

Jeni Bern and Richard Roberts on BBC4

Jeni Bern and Richard Roberts can be seen on BBC4 and BBC iPlayer in Opera North's epic production of Der Ring des Nibelungen, conducted by Richard Farnes. The performances were filmed at Leeds Town Hall in 2016.

Das Rheingold will be broadcast on BBC4 on 12 February at 7pm, with Jeni and Richard as Woglinde and Mime respectively. Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung will all be available exclusively on BBC iPlayer with Jeni as Waldvogel and Woglinde, and Richard as Mime

Jeni Bern performs at the Tunbridge Wells International Music Festival

Jeni Bern joins the City of London Sinfonia at the Tunbridge Wells International Music Festival. Jeni will sing Mozart's Parto, Parto from La clemenza di Tito and Exsultate Jubilate with Conductor and Clarinettist Michale Collins.

The performance on 9 October takes place at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells.

Jeni Bern in WNO's dazzling revival of Kiss Me, Kate

Following acclaimed performances at Opera North last season, Jeni Bern reprises the role of Lilli Vanessi in Welsh National Opera's revival of Cole Porter's classic musical Kiss Me, Kate, directed by Jo Davies and conducted by James Holmes. 

The production opens in Cardiff on 29 September and tours to venues in England and Wales until 10 December, with twenty nine performances in all.

Premiere performance at Norfolk and Norwich Festival

Jeni Bern performs Eve in the world premiere of Cain by Kemal Yusuf at the Norfolk & Norwich Festival on Sunday 15 May. The performance by the Festival Chorus is conducted by David Parry, with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

Cain follows the life of the first-born human, and the world’s first murderer, in a work that speaks of suffering, self-worth and the compelling need to revive and make anew.

Jeni is currently performning Woglinde & Waldvogel in Der Ring des Nibelungen for Opera North.

Wagner's Epic Ring Cycle in Leeds

Jeni Bern returns to Opera North for as Woglinde and Waldvogel in Richard Wagner's epic saga Der Ring des Nibelungen, following huge success as Lilli Vanessi in their production of Kiss Me, Kate earlier this season.

Jeni first sang Woglinde in Das Rheingold for Opera North in 2011 and is delighted to sing the role in Götterdämmerung, in addition to Waldvogel in Siegfried.

Performances take place in Leeds, Nottingham, Salford, London and Gateshead.

Jeni Bern performs Hogmanay Concert in Glasgow

Bringing a busy 2015 to a close, Jeni Bern joins tenor Nicky Spence and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra for a Hogmanay Concert at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow. Conducted by Michael Bawtree and presented by Gavin Mitchell, the programme includes Scottish favourites including The Rowan Tree, The Skye Boat Song and A Red, Red Rose.

Jeni & Ailish Face the Music

Jeni Bern
She cut her teeth on Jerome Kern, Rodgers and Hammerstein and Showaddywaddy, and, a former cornet player, she fancies learning the drums. The singer Jeni Bern shares her musical loves on and off the stage.

Ailish Tynan
From travelling back in time to party with Mozart to a love for Bono, Kate Bush and Schubert, soprano Ailish Tynan shares her musical inspirations.

Both are in good company as other musicians recently featured include Anna Netrebko, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Erwin Schrott and Dame Evelyn Glennie!

It's 'Too Darn Hot' at Opera North

Jeni Bern returns to Opera North for their 2015/16 opening production of Kiss Me, Kate in the lead role of Lilli Vanessi / Katharine. The production is directed by Jo Davies and conducted by David Charles Abell, with choreography by Will Tuckett.

With show-stopping songs including Brush Up Your Shakespeare, So in Love and Too Darn Hot this spectacular new production is one not to miss this season.

Another Op'nin', Another Show for Jeni Bern at Opera North

Jeni Bern returns to Opera North next season to perform the role of Lilli Vanessi in a dazzling new production of Cole Porter's musical Kiss Me, Kate, directed by Jo Davies and conducted by David Charles Abell. 

The production runs for seventeen performances, opening at the Leeds Grand Theatre on 24 September before touring until 21 November.

Following Kiss Me, Kate, Jeni returns to Opera North in 2016 as Woglinde and Waldvogel for performances of Wagner's epic Der Ring des Nibelungen that tours the north of England, as well as being performed at the Southbank Centre in London. Jeni previously performed Woglinde in acclaimed performances of Das Rheingold for Opera North in 2011.

Jeni Bern performs Szymanowski and Beethoven

Jeni Bern performs the Szymanowski Stabat Mater and Beethoven Symphony No. 9 with Southampton Philharmonic Choir & New London Sinfonia, conducted by David Gibson.

Jeni Bern performs Carmina Burana

Jeni Bern performs Carmina Burana with the Saffron Walden Choral Society on 15 November at the Saffron Hall.

Jeni is joined by tenor, Mark Le Brocq and baritone, Alexander Robin Baker for this spectacular choral cantata. The concert also features the Saffron Walden Youth Choir & Chameleon Arts Orchestra and is conducted by Janet Wheeler.
