Harry Nicoll perfoms in The Queen of Spades for The Royal Opera

Harry Nicoll returns to The Royal Opera in their winter season as the Major-Domo in Stefan Herheim's stunning new production of The Queen of Spades, conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano.

Performances on: 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28 January, 1 February

Later this season Harry returns to The Royal Opera as Missail in the first revival of Richard Jones' production of Boris Godunov.

Harry Nicoll and Richard Roberts perform in Ariadne auf Naxos

Harry Nicoll and Richard Roberts perform Tanzmeister and Scaramuccio in Ariadne auf Naxos for Longborough Festival Opera. The new production is directed by Alan Privett and conducted by Anthony Negus.

Harry last performed at Longborough as Don Basilio in their 2016 production of Le nozze di Figaro and Richard in 2014, as Spoletta in Tosca.

Performances oftake place on 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 July.

Harry Nicoll perfoms in the world premiere of Coraline

Harry Nicoll perfoms Mr Bobo / Ghost Child 2 in the world premiere of Coraline by Mark-Anthony Turnage, for The Royal Opera at the Barbican. This new production is directed by Aletta Colins and conducted by Sian Edwards, with the Britten Sinfonia.

Performances take place on 27, 29, 31(x2) March and 3, 4, 5, 7(x2) April.

Harry Nicoll perfoms Sellem in The Rakes Progress for OperaGlass Works at Wilton's Music Hall. This new production is directed by Selena Cadell and conducted by Laurence Cummings, with the Southbank Sinfonia.

Performances take place on 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25 November.

Harry Nicoll perfoms in Die Zauberflöte for The Royal Opera

Harry Nicoll returns to The Royal Opera this autumn as Erster Priester in David McVicar’s classic production Die Zauberflöte. This revival is directed by Thomas Guthrie and conducted by Julia Jones.

Performances take place on 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 26 September.

Harry Nicoll performs at The Grange Festival

Harry Nicoll performs in Anfinomo Il ritorno d'Ulisse in patria at the inaugural Grange Festival.

The prodcution is directed by Tim Supple, with musical direction by festival artistic director Michael Chance.

Performances take place on 7, 16, 18, 24 June and 2 July. 

Later this season Harry returns to Longborough Festival Opera as Monostatos in The Magic Flute, before appearing with the Royal Opera in Die Zauberflöte.

Harry Nicoll performs in Boris Godunov at the BBC Proms

Harry Nicoll performs Missail in the 1869 version of Boris Godunov.

This semi-staged performance by the Royal Opera takes place at the 2016 BBC Proms on 16 July and is conducted by Sir Anonio Pappano.

Harry Nicoll performs Missail in Boris Godunov

Harry Nicoll returns to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden for his second appearance of the season, as Missail in the 1869 version of Boris Godunov. The new production, directed by Richard Jones and conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano stars Bryn Terfel in the title role.

Performances take place on 14, 18, 21, 24, 26, 30 March and 5 April.

New Artist - Harry Nicoll

We are delighted to announce that tenor Harry Nicoll has joined our roster for general management. Harry grew up in Inverness in the Scottish Highlands and studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. His career to date has seen him performing for all the major UK opera companies, as well as widely across Europe, and he has become one of the UK’s leading character tenors.

Highlights in recent seasons include Eryka/Wind L’Ormindo for the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Pirelli Sweeney Todd for the Nederlandse Reisopera, Rev. Horace Adams Peter Grimes in his debut with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia under Sir Antonio Pappano and Idiot Wozzeck for the Philharmonia Orchestra on tour in Europe and the USA under Esa-Pekka Salonen.

In the current season Harry returns to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden as Le Remendado Carmen & Missail in a new production of Boris Godunov, directed by Richard Jones and makes his debut at Longborough Festival Opera as Don Basilio in Le nozze di Figaro.
