Linda Richardson perfoms Suor Angelica at the RNCM

Linda Richardson performs the title role in Suor Angelica for the Royal Northern College of Music, where she is a School of Vocal Studies and Opera, Artist in Residence. Linda is peforming the title role as part of an initiative to allow the students to perform side-by-side with established and experienced performers.

Performances take place on 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15 December as part of a double bill with Gianni Schicchi at the RNCM Theatre.

Linda Richardson returns to Welsh National Opera

Following acclaimed performances in Madama Butterfly, Linda Richardson returns to Welsh National Opera this autumn as Violetta in their classic production of La traviata. The original production is directed by Sir David McVicar (revived by Sarah Crisp) and conducted by James Southall.

Performances take place from 21 September until the end of November, opening in Cardiff before touring.

Linda Richardson performs Brahms Ein deutsches Requiem, conducted by Timothy Redmond with the Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus.

The performance takes place at King’s College Chapel, Cambridge on Satiurday 11 March 2017.

Linda Richardson performs in Madama Butterfly for WNO

Linda Richardson performs Cio-Cio-San in Welsh National Opera's production of Madam Butterfly. The original production is directed by Joachim Herz (revived by Sarah Crisp) and conducted by Lawrence Foster and Andrew Greenwood.

Performances take place from 17 February until the end of June in Cardiff, Dubai, Bristol, Llandudno and Birmingham.

Linda Richardson performs the Verdi Requiem with the Cleveland Phiharmonic Choir, conducted by John Forsyth MBE with the Mowbray Orchestra.

The performance on 12 November takes place at Sage Gateshead.

Linda Richardson performs in Marvellous Miller

Linda Richardson performs in Marvellous Miller a concert to celebrate the contribution of Jonathan Miller to English National Opera over the past 38 years. She will perform excerpts from Mozart's Don Giovanni and Verdi's Rigoletto

As a company principal Linda's roles included Fiordiligi, Lauretta, Micaela, Gretel, Gilda, Violetta, Sophie and Donna Anna.

New Artist - Linda Richardson

We are delighted to announce that soprano Linda Richardson has joined our roster for general management. Linda was born in Cheshire and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she was a Peter Moores Foundation Scholar and winner of the Frederic Cox Award. She completed her studies at the National Opera Studio. 

Highlights in recent seasons include Violetta La traviata (Scottish Opera) and for Welsh National Opera the title role Anna Bolena, Violetta and Almaltea Moses in Egitto, and Elvira I puritani. 

An English National Opera Company Principal between 1997 and 2005, her roles there included Virtue The Coronation of Poppea, Fiordiligi Così fan tutte, Lauretta Gianni Schicchi, Micaela Carmen, Gretel Hansel and Gretel, Gilda Rigoletto, Zerlina Don Giovanni, Sophie Der Rosenkavalier, Mimi La bohème, title roles The Fairy Queen and Alcina, Violetta La traviata, Woglinde Das Rhinegold, Helena A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Donna Anna Don Giovanni.

Next season Linda will perform Cio-Cio San in Madama Butterfly for Welsh National Opera.
