RTÉ NSO Christmas Gala with Ailish Tynan

Ailish Tynan joins David Brophy and RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra for a Christmas Gala. 

Ailish's programme includes Je veux vivre, Exsultate jubilate, and I know that my Redeemer liveth, amonsgt a selection of carols, sacred music and arias.

There are two concerts take place at the National Concert Hall, Dublin (15) and National Opera House, Wexford (16).

Ailish Tynan performs Christmas Classics at the Royal Festival Hall

Ailish Tynan performs a selection of Christmas carols and classics with the Philhrmonia Orchestra and The Bach Choir, conducted by David Hall.

Ailish's programme includes Ave Maria, O Holy Night and Joy to the World amonsgt a selection of carols and seasonal music.

The concert takes place at the Royal Festvial Hall on Sunday 11 December.

Gweneth Ann Rand performs Messiaen's Harawi

Gweneth Ann Rand performs Messiaen's song cycle Harawi with pianist Simon Lepper, as part of the University of Sheffield SongMakers concert series on Saturday 12 November. 

Widely noted as an exponent of Messiaen's song cycles, Gweneth-Ann's interpretations of his music are widely acclaimed. She has performed them with international orchestras (Gürzenich Orchester Köln, Tonhalle Orchester Zürich and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra) and at venues including London's Wigmore Hall & Southbank Centre and at the BBC Proms.

Sarah Redgwick performs Countess Almaviva for Scottish Opera

Sarah Redgwick performs Countess Almaviva in Scottish Opera's Dementia friendly verison of Le nozze di Figaro at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre. 

The performance on 12 November is the UK's first Dementia friendly opera and has been designed to make the theatrical experience more accessible to those living with dementia, sound and lighting levels are adjusted and cast is joined onstage by a narrator.

Sarah also understudies the role in the production currently on tour and performs in The Marriage of Figaro Unwrapped.

Claire last performed the role of Elle in WNO's site specific performance of La voix humiane.

Gweneth Ann Rand performs in Simply Gershwin as part of a national tour for Raymond Gubbay. The concerts conducted by Gavin Sutherland include some of Gershiwn's best known music with excerpts from Porgy and Bess.

Gwen is joined by Njabulo Madlala for these performances.

The tour starts on 22 October in Leicester and concludes on 1 December in Northampton.

Ailish Tynan performs the role of Podtotshina's Daughter in Shostakovich's The Nose at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. The new production is directed by Barrie Kosky and conducted by Ingo Metzmacher, with designs by Klaus Grünberg and Buki Shiff.

Ailish last appeared at the Royal Opera House in 2012 in the Jetter Parker Young Artist Performance of Il viaggio a Reims.

Performances of The Nose take place on 20, 24, 27 October, 1, 4, 9 November 2017.

Njabulo Madlala makes his mainstage debut at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden as Clerk 7 and Coachman in Shostakovich's The Nose. The new production is directed by Barrie Kosky and conducted by Ingo Metzmacher, with designs by Klaus Grünberg and Buki Shiff.

Njabulo has previously appeared at the Royal Opera House Linbury Studio Theatre in How the Whale Became and Heart of Darkness.

Performances of The Nose take place on 20, 24, 27 October, 1, 4, 9 November 2017.

Claire Watkins joins ENOs Opera Squad

Claire Watkins joins English National Opera's Opera Squad project next week. She will join a group of performers taking highlights of the current ENO season into secondary schools in London.

Among other things Claire will sing excerpts from Puccini's Tosca.
